Here's what Darius has to say about the Boot Camp and his experience at the Compound:
I just completed the March Boot Camp and I wanted to share a few words with future Boot Campers about the experience I had at the Compound. After an on the job injury, two surgeries and a year and a half of rehabilitation with no extracurricular activities, I didn’t recognize myself anymore. I was out of shape, unconditioned and unhappy. I participated in the Boot Camp because I wanted a lifestyle change. I wanted to push my body beyond the limits that I had set for myself mentally while gaining back the energetic, fit, happy person I once was. Man was I in for a surprise, Crossfit is unlike anything I had ever experienced. There were times when I wanted to quit, times when I thought why am I doing this to my 37 year old body, but I was determined to give 100% each day. After I completed each workout I was glad I had come and even more encouraged. It`s amazing what you can accomplish if you don’t quit. I found I was able to push myself further than I thought possible. The trainers at the Compound are there for support, encouragement and advice, everyone there is friendly and want the best for every member. Our trainers would stay after to answer questions and one even stretched me out after class when I pulled my hamstring. I knew after the first week of the Boot Camp this is where I wanted to be and I joined. In all I lost a total of seven pounds and 2 “ off my waste in just 4 weeks. I have changed my diet (less 1 cheat day a week) and I look forward to continued growth and gains in my physical fitness and growing new relationships with my new friends at the Compound.
