Having a support system is one of the many building blocks
in keeping your healthy lifestyle successful. A “Workout Buddy”is there to push you through when your brain tells you to stop. After all, the brain is biologically wired to keep you safe. Having a workout partner can check your form: if your elbows need to be higher or if your squat form is incorrect. Working out with a partner is a great way to keep yourself motivated. They are there to call you out on days you short change yourself of the effort. Choose a person who will listen to your concerns and feelings: your diet, your progress and/or regress. Accountability session is good. Social support can produce large and lasting gains. Your ‘buddy’ can be your confidant: spouse, best-friend, child, significant other and even your pet (your canine friend- great walking partner ) You can also find on-line support group more importanlty us at The Compound!
